INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Junior thrower Koko Mensah (Orange, N.J.) of the Connecticut College women's track & field team has been chosen to compete in the shot put at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships, as announced by the national organization on Sunday evening.
Mensah is seeded 13th among 20 competitors in her premier event. Her school-record throw of 45-feet, 4.50-inches ranks tied for 12th in the country and was recorded at the Tufts National Qualifying Meet on Saturday, March 2. Mensah will be making her second appearance overall at an NCAA competition after most recently qualifying in the shot put during the 2018 outdoor season as a sophomore.
The championship meet will take place at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston on Friday, March 8 and Saturday, March 9. Mensah will compete in the shot put on Saturday morning at 11 a.m.
