Women’s Tennis Falls to Babson

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's tennis team dropped a non-conference tilt to Babson, 7-2, in another match that was moved indoors due to poor weather conditions on Thursday evening.

The Camels picked up their first point in dominating fashion at No. 3 doubles when junior Brinley Bartlett (Malvern, Pa.) and freshman Meredith Kenny (Phoenix, Ariz.) downed Claire Foster and Marissa Madison by an 8-1 score. Sophomore Rachel Weiss (Great Neck, N.Y.) also performed well, capturing the No. 5 doubles spot over her opponent in straight sets by 6-2 and 6-4 marks.

Connecticut College (2-7) will next host Trinity on Sunday morning at 10 a.m.
