Sara Kogelmann Makes CoSIDA Academic All-District Women’s Soccer Team for Third Straight Year

Hoboken, N.J. – Connecticut College's Sara Kogelmann (Guilderland, N.Y.) has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) District II Academic All-America Women's Soccer Team, as announced by the organization on Thursday afternoon. The senior defender was chosen to the first team for the third straight season and is now eligible for Academic All-America laurels.

Kogelmann, who is majoring in economics and double minoring in mathematics and finance, has helped anchor a back line which has yielded one goal or less 10 times in 16 matches and blanked five opponents. She became the first student-athlete in program history to be recognized as a CoSIDA Academic All-American last season and is involved with the Peggotty Investment Club, Women in Finance Club, and the Women in STEM Club on campus. The defender also tutors students in economics.

Following today's announcements, Connecticut College has two student-athletes who have made the COSIDA Academic All-District Team in their respective sport during the 2019-20 academic year. Sophomore Luke Stoneback (Commerce, Mich.) of the men's soccer program was also recognized this afternoon.
