Frostburg, Md. – Junior Sara Kogelmann (Guilderland, N.Y.) has been named to the Google Cloud District II Academic All-All-America Women's Soccer Team, as announced on Thursday afternoon by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The defender was chosen to the first team for the second straight season and is now eligible for Academic All-America laurels.
Kogelmann, an economics major, has helped anchor a Camel back line which blanked five opponents and yielded one goal or less 10 times in 15 matches. On campus, Kogelmann is a member of the Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Club (STEM) and Green Dot. Furthermore, she tutors other Connecticut College students in economics.
Following today's announcement, Connecticut College has two student-athletes who have made the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team in their respective sport during the 2018-19 academic year. Sophomore AJ Marcucci (West Chester, Pa.) of the men's soccer program was also recognized this afternoon.
