NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College sailing programs competed at two regattas over the weekend.

The coed team most notably placed seventh among 18 schools at the Truxtun Umsted Coed Showcase being hosted by Navy. Sophomore Tommy Whittemore (West Hartford, Conn.) and senior Paige Dunlevy (San Francisco, Calif.) most notably gave the Camels a boost by placing third in the B Division with 101 points.

In addition, the women's program competed at home on the Thames in the Stu Nelson Regatta, finishing 15th among 16 institutions. The Camels' top effort came out of the A Division with sophomore AnaLucia Clarkson (Seattle, Wash.), Aili Moffet, senior Marion Lemay and freshman Ellie Pieper (Westport, Conn.) contributing to a 154-point performance.

Connecticut College will compete at two separate regattas again next weekend. The women trek to Navy for the showcase final, while the coed program will send a group to Dartmouth for the Captain Hurst Regatta.
