CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Connecticut College men's track & field program finished 21st among 23 scoring teams with three points at the New England Division III Championships over the weekend on the campus of MIT.
Sophomore Spencer Crough (Southampton, N.Y.) scored the points for the Camels by finishing sixth in the 600-meter run in a personal-best time of 1:24.08. He earned All-New England laurels for his efforts.
In addition, junior Danny Aschale (Cambridge, Mass.) competed at a final qualifying meet hosted by Boston University over the weekend. He placed sixth in the 5,000-meter run in 14:41.29.
Aschale, who is ranked 12th nationally in the 3,000, will now wait to see if he is invited to compete at the NCAA Championships. The announcement of official selections will be made on Sunday, March 3 at 7 p.m.
