INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Junior Scott Mason (Wyndmoor, Pa.) and sophomore Danny Aschale (Cambridge, Mass.) will represent Connecticut College at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships this weekend. The two-day event will be held from March 9-10 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala.
Mason, who was an NCAA All-American in cross country this past fall, qualified in the 3,000-meter run and will enter the championship event seeded ninth overall. His top time of 8:22.73 this winter was recorded this past weekend at Tufts.
Aschale will run in the 5,000 and is seeded 13th in the field. He ran his best time of 14.39.69 at a scoring meet hosted by Tufts on Jan. 27.
The distance runners will compete on separate days at the championship event. Aschale will run at 4:45 p.m. on Friday afternoon and Mason races at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
