Men’s Swimming Places Second at Connecticut Cup

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Connecticut College men's swimming team placed second among five schools at the Connecticut College on Saturday afternoon at Wesleyan. The Camels finished the meet with 486 points.

Freshman Dash Hunter (Wesport, Conn.) posted the top finish on the team by placing second in the 50-yard breaststroke in 28.33 seconds. Sophomores Stefan Garbee (Weston, Conn.) and Charlie Adl (New Canaan, Conn.) as well as freshman Casey Keenan (Westford, Vt.) all posted a third-place performance in their respective individual events. Garbee finished the 100 breast in 1:01.08, Adl notched a time of 1:47.33 in the 200 free and Keenan posted a mark of 25.27 in the 50 back.

Coast Guard easily won the meet with 794 points, while Wesleyan, St. Joseph and Western Connecticut State finished third, fourth and fifth, respectively in the team standings.

Connecticut College will next face Grinnell in Naples, Fla. on Jan. 5.
