NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College men's squash team won its opener by a 7-2 decision over Wesleyan on Friday evening.
Junior Mikey Rodriguez (New Haven, Conn.) and freshman Chris Mach (Concord, Mass.) most notably triumphed in five-set thrillers to lead the way for the Camels. Rodriguez rallied to win a marathon by scores of 10-12, 11-7, 10-12, 16-14, and 11-8 at the No. 4 position, while Mach held off his opponent from the No. 9 spot by marks of 11-8, 9-11, 8-11, 12-10, and 11-3.
Connecticut College (3-3) breaks for final exams and will be back in action next semester.
