Men's Ice Hockey Drops High-Scoring Affair to Hamilton

Anthony Quatieri
CLINTON, N.Y. - Freshman Anthony Quatieri (Peabody, Mass.) found the back of the net twice for the first time of his collegiate career, but it wasn't enough, as the Connecticut College men's ice hockey team dropped a 7-4 decision to Hamilton on Friday evening.
Quatieri put the Camels on the scoreboard first less than three minutes into the contest. Hamilton, however, caught fire by recording five unanswered goals between the first and second periods and never looked back. Justin Felhaber scored the first and final goals during the Continentals' hot stretch and later added an empty netter with 33 seconds remaining to complete a hat trick.
Junior goaltenders Avery Gobbo (Mississauga, Ontario) and Connor Rodericks (Buzzards Bay, Mass.) combined to make 27 saves for Connecticut College, which also got goals from junior Ryan Petti (Tewksbury, Mass.) and sophomore Greg Pezza (Greenville, R.I.). Anthony Tirabassi of Hamilton (6-6-1, NESCAC 4-3-1) picked up the victory between the pipes by redirecting 28 shots.
Connecticut College (4-8-1, NESCAC 0-6-1) will look to rebound when it visits Amherst tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m.
