SOUTH HADLEY, Mass.--Connecticut College's recently appointed Head Women's Coach Ted Childs and the Camels enjoyed a successful 3-1 weekend of action out in the Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts.
The Camels earned 9-0 shutout wins against Smith and Northeastern and tacked on an 8-1 victory over Haverford. Hamilton defeated the Camels 9-0.
In the victory against Northeastern, Caroline Sargent (Seattle, Wash.), Leah Puklin (Bala Cynwyd, Pa.), Ashley Arthur (New York, N.Y.), Anne Holly (York, Pa.), Caroline Lippincott (Jamestown, R.I.), Madison Craft (Newtown Square, Pa.), Tori Allen (Jamestown, R.I.), Charlotte Novak (Sag Harbor, N.Y.) and Kaleigh Tierney (Burlington, Conn.) triumphed in their respective slots from #1-9 on the ladder.
Sargent pulled out a five set thriller in the #1 slot, taking the decisive game with an 11-4 win. Puklin earned an 11-8, 11-2, 11-8 win triumph in their second slot while Arthur collected an 11-5, 11-1, 11-5 victory at number three.
In the Haverford win, the Camels posted wins at #-1-7 and #9 on the ladder. Holly coasted to an 11-2, 11-8, 11-1 win at #4. Lippincott closed out her four set win with an 11-8 triumph in the fifth slot. Craft cruised to an 11-8, 11-4, 11-6 Camel win in the sixth slot for Connecticut College.
