NEW LONDON, Conn. –Katlyn Paiva (Rehoboth, Mass.) had a goal and an assist to lead the eighth ranked Connecticut College women's hockey team to a 3-1 victory against the University of Massachusetts-Boston in front of 150 fans at Dayton Arena Saturday night.
Connecticut College improved its record to 5-2 with the victory while the Beacons slipped to 8-3 with the setback.
Steph Izzi (Salley, S.C.) and Lily Connolly (Duxbury, Mass.) chipped in with scores for the hosts. Olivia Good (Woodbury, Conn.) and Cassie Hunter (Gilford, N.H.) contributed with assists for the Camels. Katherine Chester (Mendham, N.J.) made 11 saves in goal.
Sophomore forward Kaleigh Beauregard (Gaylord, Mich.) potted her fifth goal of the season in the setback. Julia Nolan (Duxbury, Mass.) assisted on the marker. Rachel Myette (Duxbury, Mass.) stopped 47 shots in the contest.
Connecticut College enjoyed a 50-12 advantage in shots.
