PURCHASE, N.Y.—Sophomore Kylie Caouette (Ashburnham, Mass.) poured in a game-high 18 points in a 7-for-14 shooting performance to lead the Connecticut College women's basketball team to a 73-47 victory against Marywood University in the opening round of the Manhattanville College Tip-Off.
The Camels will clash with the Valiants of Manhattanville in tomorrow's title game at 2:00 p.m. in the Empire State.
Senior Liz Malman (Mendham, N.J.) chipped in with 10 points and five assists for the Camels. Meg Corcoran (Milton, Mass.) contributed with eight points. Junior Mairead Hynes (Mahopac, N.Y.) had seven points and nine boards while sophomore Payton Ouimette (Medfield, Mass.) posted seven points and seven rebounds in the triumph.
Samantha Ashton (Clinton, Conn.) added five points, four assists and six boards in her collegiate debut. The Camels enjoyed a 47-to-36 advantage on the backboards in the victory.
