CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Connecticut College coed and women's sailing programs competed at the NEISA Coed Showcase and Stu Nelson Regatta over the weekend.
The coed program most notably placed 11th among 18 schools at the NEISA Coed Showcase, which was being co-hosted by MIT and Harvard. The A Division pair consisting of junior Carter Pemberton (Osterville, Mass.) and sophomore Liz Davis (Naples, Fla.) finished fifth to lead the way for the Camels.
Even though the women's team came up on the low end of the team standings, the squad got a strong effort from freshman Ana Clarkson (Seattle, Wash.) and senior Erin Smith (Hanover, Mass.). The duo finished eighth among 13 in the A Division at the home event on the Thames River.
Connecticut College will next send its coed team to Dartmouth for the Captain Hurst Trophy regatta on Saturday, Oct. 13.
