NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College coed sailing team tied for third overall among 10 schools at the Southern New England Team Race over the weekend.
Connecticut College hosted the two-day event on the Thames River. Harvard beat out MIT for the team crown, while Connecticut College tied for third with Boston University and Bowdoin placed to round out the top half of the field.
After a rough start on Saturday, the Camels came back stronger on Sunday by winning eight races to secure a top-four finish.
The coed sailing program stays in New London to host the Staake Team Race next weekend.
