CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Connecticut College coed sailing team competed at the NEISA Match Race Championships at MIT over the weekend.
Led by skipper and driver Hugh MacGilvary, the Camels finished third overall by most notably beating Brown in a head-to-head matchup and just missed qualifying for the Sloop National Championship by one spot. Walter Florio, Katie Rodgers and Sam Rodiger also represented the Camels and contributed to the team's third-place performance at the championship event.
Connecticut College's coed sailing program returns to action when it travels to Brown to race at the Hoyt Regatta beginning on Saturday, Oct. 21.
