Sailing Programs Compete at Stu Nelson and Hatch Brown Regattas

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College coed and women's sailing programs competed at a pair of regattas over the weekend.

The women's program hosted the Stu Nelson Regatta on Saturday and placed fifth out of 18 scoring teams at the event. Charlotte List and Issy Pieper most notably finished fourth in the A Division, while Allie Maurillo and Paige Dunlevy placed fifth in the B division to lead the way for the Camels.

The coed group sailed at the Hatch Brown Regatta on Sunday and finished third among 20 scoring teams at the event hosted by MIT. Walter Florio and Cecilia Moreira paced the Camels by winning the C Division.

The Connecticut College women will next compete at the Amanda Trophy Singlehanded Qualifier on Sept. 23 at Roger Williams, while the coed squad will head to the University of Rhode Island to sail at the Salt Pond Regatta on the same day.
