Yale University captured the New England Crown with a record of 18-5 in the Bay State this weekend.
Junior Hugh MacGillivray (Portsmouth, R.I.), Walt Florio (Rye, N.Y.), Ragna Agnerup (Oslo, Norway) and Carter Pemberton (Osterville, Mass.) all skippered boats for the Camels in the Championship. Senior Eliza Garry (Marblehead, Mass.), Cooper Nefsky (New York, N.Y.), Sam Rodiger (Hingham, Mass.), Erin Smith (Hanover, Mass.) and Austin Smith (Severna Park, Md.) all contributed as the crew.
Back in home water on the Thames this weekend, the Camel women's sailing team competed in the Emily Wick Trophy Regatta that was hosted by the Coast Guard here in the Whaling City. The Camels placed 14th in the 20 team field with a score of 326 points. Yale University scored 182 points to win the regatta.
Junior Allie Maurillo (Shelter Island, N.Y.) , Emilia Clementi (Venice Beach, Fla.), Haley Kachmar (Avon, Conn.), Katie Rodger (Marblehead, Mass.), Paige Dunlevy (San Francisco, Calif.) and Hannah King (Easthampton, Mass.) Scored 188 points to place 15th in the A division. In the B division, junior skipper Charlotte List (Fair Haven, N.J.) rallied the Camels in a ninth place showing and was joined by senior skipper Rebecca Quirke (Rye, N.Y.), Hannah Staples (Mendham Township, N.J.), Gwynie Dunlevy (San Francisco, Calif.) and Issy Pieper (Westport, Conn.) that saw the Camels finish with 138 points.
