MEDFORD, Mass.--Danny Aschale (Cambridge, Mass.) posted a time of 8:24.33 en route to his fourth place finish in the 3,000 meter run at the New England Division III Championship that was hosted by Tufts University today. Aschale climbed to #13 on the national performance with his standout performance for the Camels.
In the 5,000 meters, sophomore Scott Mason (Windmoor, Pa.) placed fifth with a time of 15:05.21. The 4x800 meter relay team comprised of senior Ben Bosworth (Dorchester, Mass.), sophomore Price Day (Harvard, Mass.), freshman Christian Carr-Locke (Walpole, Mass.) and Aschale placed fifth for the Camels in the Bay State today with a season-best time of 7:59.49. In the one mile run, Bosworth placed seventh in 4:19.86 for Connecticut College. All five of these Camels garnered All-New England Division III accolades for finishing in the top eight of their event.
Connecticut College finished in 13th place as a team with a score of 15 points. Tufts University won the New England Division Championship with a score of 127 points.
In the 4x400 meter relay, Blake O'Neal (Houston, Texas), Andrew Peterson (Wallingford, Conn.), Sean Soucy (Falmouth, Maine) and Geoff Pendergast (Weston, Mass.) posted a time of 3:33.92. The distance medley relay team comprised of Jordan Comeau (Winchendon, Mass.), Raymond-Rich Fiondella (North Haven, Conn.), Jacob Brill-Weil (Cambridge, Mass.) and Alejandro Hernandez (Miami, Fla.) finished in 10:51.24 for the Camels. Peterson posted a time of 1:25.14 in the 600 meter dash.
