Men’s Tennis Bettered by No. 24 Bates and Nichols

LEWISTON, Maine – The Connecticut College men's tennis team was downed in a pair of matches on Sunday afternoon, falling to No. 24 Bates in NESCAC action and to Nichols in non-conference play by identical 8-1 scores.

Freshman SangJin Song (Roslyn, N.Y.) picked up the lone point for the Camels against Bates by rallying to earn a three-set victory by set scores of 2-6, 7-5 and 10-7 at No. 5 singles. In the match versus Nichols, freshman Walter Komishane (Manchester, Mass.) was victorious from the same singles position by an 8-4 mark.

The Bisons captured all three doubles points and two more in singles play before the teams mutually agreed to call the match with four other singles spots still waiting to be decided.

Connecticut College (2-7, NESCAC 0-5) will next face Trinity on Sunday, Apr. 22 at 2 p.m.
