Danz and Hecker Lead Men’s Tennis at Final Fall Tournament

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College men's tennis team concluded its fall slate by hosting an invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Freshman Zak Danz and senior Ethan Hecker led the way for the Camels by winning matches in both singles and doubles play. Danz earned a win by retirement and another by a 9-7 decision over August Moeller of Nichols at the No. 7 spot, while Hecker outlasted Scott Danforth of Trinity in a marathon match by set scores of 6-4, 1-6 and 11-9 from the No. 8 position. The pair also teamed up to defeat Peter Coletti and Igor Markowski of Nichols by an 8-6 score at No. 2 doubles.

Connecticut College resumes play this spring when it hosts Babson on Saturday, March 10 at 10:00 a.m.
