MIDDLETOWN, Conn.--Connecticut College junior All-American AJ Pite (Orange, Conn.) posted three victories to lead the Camels to victories against Wesleyan and Fairfield University in a tri-meet hosted by Wesleyan in Middletown Friday night. The Camels knocked off the Cardinals of Wesleyan in a 199-80 victory and secured a 203-76 win against the Staggs from Fairfield.
Pite posted victories in both the 100 and 200 yard freestyle with respective times of 47.36 seconds and 1:44.78. He tacked on another win in the 400 yard individual medley with a time of 4:07.58. Junior All-American George Tilneac (New York, N.Y.) triumphed in both the 50 and the 100 yard butterfly with times of 23.24 and 51.19 seconds for the Camels.
Freshman Jake Easton (Oreland, Pa.) won the 50 and 100 yard breaststroke events in 28.80 seconds and 1:01.70 for Connecticut College. Senior All-American Mike Fothergill (Medford, Mass.) won the 50 yard backstroke in 24.31 seconds. Senior All-American Loring Bowen (Summit, N.J.) checked in with a victorious time of 52.12 seconds in the 100 yard back.
In the 50 yard freestyle, junior Drake Freiberg (Glastonbury, Conn.) tacked on another win in 21.50 seconds for the Camels. Senior Stephen Skaperdas (New Canaan, Conn.) won the 500 yard freestyle in 4:47.70. Mace Molina (Wilton, Conn.) posted a winning time of 9:56.41 in the 1,000 yard free.
The Camels won both relays Friday. In the 200 yard medley relay, Fothergill, Freiberg, Weston Stephens (Springfield, Ill.) and Carson Owlette (Wellsboro, Pa.) triumphed in 1:35.49 for Connecticut College. Fothergill, Freiberg, Pite and Trebor Lawton (Gorham, Maine) posted a time of 1:26.92 to win the 200 yard freestyle relay for the Camels.
