SOUTH HADLEY, Mass.--Senior Brendan McClintick (Mercersburg, Pa.) cruised to an 11-6, 11-6, 11-9 shutout victory in the second slot on the ladder while sophomore John Dunham (pictured, New Haven, Conn.) took care of business in the third slot in the line-up with a 12-10, 11-4, 11-3 triumph to lead the Connecticut College men's squash team to a 5-4 victory over Haverford in the Pioneer Valley Invitational this weekend.
Junior tri-captain Matt Lillie (Weston, Mass.) pulled out a five-set thriller for the Camels at number four, outlasting his opponent with an 11-7 win in the finale. Senior tri-captain Niccolo Premutico (Brooklyn, N.Y.) posted a 3-1 win (13-11, 11-6, 11-13, 11-4) in the fifth slot for Head Coach Barry Ward's squad. Senior Santiago Moran (Bronx, N.Y.) added an 11-13, 11-2, 11-4, 11-8 victory at the number six spot on the ladder against the Fords.
The Camels (2-7) dropped an 8-1 loss to MIT before closing out the weekend with 9-0 setbacks to Dickinson and Stanford.
Moran provided a silver lining for the Camels in the defeat to the Engineers from MIT, gutting out a 3-1 win with set scores of 15-13, 6-11, 11-5, 11-5.
