HADLEY, Mass. – Connecticut College junior men's soccer captain Ben Manoogian (Peabody, Mass.) has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Manoogian is the second Camel to be recognized this season after freshman goalkeeper A.J. Marcucci (West Chester, Pa.), who earned the same honor on Sept. 11. The junior helped the Camels end the weekend as the only undefeated team remaining in the NESCAC by providing the eventual game-winning goal in a 2-0 win against Eastern Connecticut State and adding an insurance marker on a highlight-reel play in the team's 3-1 triumph over Bates.
Through five weeks of play, Manoogian leads all NESCAC players in goals (7) and points (15). He has also provided three game-winning tallies through 11 matches.
Connecticut College (8-0-3) will next play a pivotal NESCAC match on the road against Amherst tomorrow afternoon at 4:00 p.m.
