GALLOWAY, N.J.--Sophomore PJ Kelleher (Walpole, Mass.) and junior Jackson Kleintz (Philadelphia, Pa.) both contributed with two goals and an assist but it was not enough as Stockton University rallied to take a 10-7 victory against Connecticut College in non-conference action today.
The Camels evened their record at 3-3 with the setback. The surging Osprey improved to 8-1 with their sixth straight win. Tommy Gallo (Clinton, N.J.) and Erik Anderson (Monroe Twp., N.J.) led the balanced attack with two goals and an assist apiece while Zack Aho (Shamong, N.J.) tossed in two goals for the hosts.
Junior All-American Ben Parens (Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.) won 11-of-20 face-offs with four ground balls and a goal for the Camels. Senior Alex Calabro (Newton, Mass.) had a goal with four ground balls. Classmate and fellow captain John Cunningham (Cheshire, Conn.) chipped in with a goal and three ground balls.
Sophomore Jameson Hill (Wilton, Conn.) made 10 saves for the Camels. Justin Ruiz (Holmdel, N.J.) stopped nine shots for the hosts.
Kelleher leads the club with 28 points on 16 goals and 12 assists while Kleintz has registered 14 goals and four assists in the early season. Parens has corralled a team best 49 ground balls, winning 102-of-142 face-offs (72%) at the X.
